At TPI Commercial Joinery (TPI) we believe we have a responsibility to help create a stronger community. The TPI Community Service Program is part of our commitment to being a good corporate citizen and has been active for 4 years.

Through this program we are able to contribute to charitable causes, community programs and the arts on a number of levels.

We utilise our manufacturing and construction expertise to deliver high value contributions to a variety of community development projects. The  TPI Community Service Program provides pro bono support and financial assistance.

An important element of TPI’s community program is staff participation. By utilising the experience and skills of TPI’s people we have been able to make practical contributions to community projects as well as enriching the working experience and culture within TPI.

TPI’s key areas of focus within our Community Service Program are Indigenous Australians, disadvantaged youth and the arts community:

Indigenous Australians
TPI has an ongoing partnership with the Dhuruputjpi Homeland of North Eastern Arnhem Land. This partnership has been successful in providing the materials, expertise and training to enable community members to design and manufacture joinery items to improve their homes.

Youth
TPI was a significant contributor to the recent Marist Youth Care renovation of the Gilmore Unit, Emu Plains which provides long term residential care for disadvantaged youths and looks forward to working with Marist Youth Care on similar projects in the future.

The Arts
TPI has contributed set and props elements to a range of independant theatre productions such as:
• Constance Drinkwater and the Final Days of Somerset, Stables Theatre, Kings Cross
• Three Little Fears, The Australian Theatre for Young People
• Weeping Women, Darlinghurst Theatre
• Shimmerer, Shopfront Theatre for Young People

We continue to be committed to making a difference in our community
